Den DH05
A dog house that is only a wooden box is worse than no dog house at all — it collects wind and holds cold. The Den DH05 is built around three things that actually matter in winter: insulation, a raised floor, and a doorway that is not pointing straight into the weather.
Walls, floor and roof are all filled with closed-cell foam and closed off with an interior liner, so there is nothing exposed to chew. The floor sits on adjustable feet, lifting it off cold slab or wet ground with an air gap underneath. The entrance is offset under a covered porch, so driving rain does not reach the sleeping area.
The entire roof is hinged. Lift it, hold it on the stay arm, and the interior is fully open for cleaning or bedding changes.
Solid kiln-dried fir, water-based exterior finish, pitched shingle-free metal roof.
