- WALK-IN SIZE WITH REAL SHELTER: At 76 x 36 x 75 inches your cats get three platform levels, two connecting ramps and a roofed wind-shielded corner, so they can climb, sun themselves and still stay dry when a shower passes over.
- BUILT TO STAND OUTSIDE ALL YEAR: A kiln-dried solid fir frame carries a water-based exterior finish, 19-gauge galvanized hardware cloth is batten-strapped at every edge, and the pitched corrugated steel roof sheds water instead of soaking through.
- TWO FULL-HEIGHT DOORS: Step all the way inside to scoop litter, refill water or carry a cat out, instead of kneeling at a hatch. Both doors close on solid barrel bolts that a paw cannot slide open.

Fernstead builds backyard structures the way a good garden shed is built: solid wood, honest hardware, and a roof that sheds water.
The Catio CW01 is our flagship walk-in cat enclosure. It gives an indoor cat real outdoor time — sun, air, birdsong, grass under the paws — without the risks that cut an outdoor cat's life to a fraction of an indoor cat's. The frame is kiln-dried solid fir, finished in a water-based exterior coating that will not flake in the first season. The mesh is 19-gauge galvanized hardware cloth, stapled and then batten-strapped so a determined paw cannot peel it back. The roof is genuine corrugated metal, pitched for runoff.
Inside, three platform levels and two ramps let a cat climb, perch and nap at different heights. One corner is fully roofed and wind-shielded so your cat has somewhere dry to sit out a shower. Both doors are full height, so cleaning does not mean crawling.
We designed the packaging as carefully as the product. The CW01 ships as two cartons, each under 50 lb, so it arrives by standard parcel carrier instead of freight, and one adult can move each box.
