THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE DETAILS

A latch to close.
A corner to reach.

Look beyond the silhouette.
Explore the thinking behind a garden room.

01 / 03 · THE ROOFLINE

Shelter, thoughtfully shaped.

A pitched roof gives the garden room its familiar silhouette. An overhang is a small detail with a practical purpose: helping direct rainfall away from the walls.

Design study. Final construction and performance require product verification.

LOOK PAST THE FINISHED PICTURE

A closer look
at what holds it together.

This workshop reference shows a different stage from the styled collection images. It is useful for a simple reason: you can look at the structure itself.

The connection

Look where the mesh meets the frame, where panels join and how doors close. Ask for the specification behind the surface.

The repeated job

Open it. Reach inside. Picture the tools you use to clean. Practical access matters long after the first photograph.

The product you receive

Final dimensions, materials, assembly instructions and supported uses need to match the actual model. Concept imagery is not a performance test.

THE FERN & THE HOMESTEAD

A garden is never
just the view.

It is the bowl you refill before work. The door you check before bed. The first leaf you pick for dinner.

Fernstead brings animal spaces and growing spaces into the same garden. Each has a different job. They share a simple starting point: the people who care for them every day.

BEFORE YOU MAKE ROOM

Start with
your own garden.

How do I know which space is right for me?

Begin with what you care for and the jobs you do every day. Choose a collection, then check the footprint, access, intended use and model-specific guidance. A shared appearance does not make the five collections interchangeable.

What should I measure before choosing?

Measure the placement area and delivery route, then leave room for doors, cleaning and inspection. For Catio, consider the connection to your home; for Grow, check water access and your reach into the bed.

Are these stories from Fernstead customers?

The people in this module are imagined scene personas. Their words introduce a need and a Fernstead design response, rather than a verified purchase or expert endorsement. Collection imagery is illustrative. Fernstead Patio Design Honors are self-awarded, not independent certifications.
